Car Rental Mallorca : What we do not include

In Spain, Third-Party Liability Insurance is the Full Level Of Cover required by law and covers your liability for damage to other vehicles and persons. This level of cover is ALWAYS included Free Of Charge in your car hire quote, and it is all that you need to legally drive a rental car in Spain. Expensive fully comprehensive cover isn’t a legal requirement, and is not something that we offer.

Of course you can choose to buy your own additional insurance to cover your rental, so it’s insured more comprehensively. A simple search of the current providers in your area can be found by Clicking Here. Please note however that car hire Excess Insurance is not something that we sell, and where it is being offered by hire car companies you can be certain that it is always at an additional cost ( which may be hidden in the price you are quoted for your online car rental service, or more likely charged as an extra when you arrive here in Mallorca ).

Be aware that there are many different reputable Insurance Companies who specialise in Separate Excess Cover products but this extra insurance is not compulsory. This type of cover is also offered by some credit card companies when you use them as a method of payment. In our experience these independent policies are always the best option, and using these services is in our opinion the most cost-effective way of obtaining this extra cover if you feel that you need the “ comfort “ of this addition to the normal level of standard cover provided. An excess is the maximum amount ( currently 750€ ) you would have to pay in case of damage to the vehicle.

The items listed below are not covered by your insurance and the cost of their repair or replacement is to be paid by the person hiring the vehicle.

• Wheels (alloy wheels or others).
• Tyres.
• Glass.
• Replacement Keys.
• Any Personal Belongings.
• All Costs Generated By Not Putting In The Correct Fuel.
• Damage To The Underside.
• Kerb Damage.

In the highly unlikely event that any of these problems occur please be assured that we have no interest in making a profit from them ( unlike many of the larger companies ) and we will pass on any trade discounts that we receive.

You will receive a full refund if you have paid in advance and then cancel at least 48 hours before the pickup time. However, a 35€ admin charge will be deducted from any refund if you cancel less than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time.

Car Hire Majorca : Where Can I Park ?

Whenever it is possible we advise that you park your car / vehicle rental in a parking place that is well lit and visible.

We strongly advise you against leaving your personal belongings inside your vehicle. Where for whatever reason this cannot be avoided your possessions should be moved completely out of sight i.e. in the boot.

Your vehicle must only ever be driven on good quality road surfaces and not poor quality or unsurfaced roads.

Please take good care of your key so that it does not get wet, damaged, or lost.

Do you have to clean your rental car before returning it ?  You are expected to return your hire vehicle in a reasonable condition. Whilst not compulsory, your cooperation with the following is very much appreciated. This also helps us to keep our prices competitive for ALL our valued clients.

For the quickest and most cost effective turn around it helps if we only need to do a quick vacuum. With this in mind please do not leave any rubbish or dirt in your rental car. Generally speaking, you are not required to wash the outside of the car, but if it does get particularly dirty whilst in your possession, it might be a good idea to take it through a car wash. Be very careful with food and drinks in your hire car and if possible do not park under trees.

All of these suggestions will help you to enjoy a trouble-free holiday in Mallorca without the possibility of incurring any unnecessary additional charges.

Mallorca Airport : How Do I Collect & Return My Hire Car ?

Subject to your flight times our usual meeting point at Palma Airport is the “Bar ( FG ) Coffee” which is the cafeteria/bar located directly beneath the main multi-story car park and hire car parking.

Payment for your vehicle is made on your arrival in Mallorca either by cash, credit or debit card. We do not require any deposit in advance on our car rental service.

Our normal hours for meeting our valued clients at Palma de Mallorca Airport is currently between the 12 hour period of 08:00 – 20:00.  However, we also offer a 24 Hour Service of Arrivals and Departures using our unattended collection / return process.

The price that you are quoted when reserving a car with us is ALWAYS the final price of your car rental. There is NO CHARGE by the Airport for returning a vehicle after-hours, and there is also NO CHARGE for collecting or returning a vehicle during our normal Palma Airport hours.

If however you collect your hire car using the after-hours unattended process, you will be charged by Palma de Mallorca Airport for their Secure Parking, as your vehicle awaits your final time of arrival on the Island.

Please note that when using this vehicle collection method you will also be required to pay in advance of your arrival in Mallorca for your car hire. In this scenario a payment link will be sent to you to allow payment using a range of online payment methods. Alternatively payment for your rental car can also be made by bank transfer.

Delivery and Collection outside of Palma Airport is also available but at an additional cost and subject to scheduling i.e. an exact delivery time cannot be guaranteed.

Please note that we DO NOT advise anyone to use their car in the city of Palma de Mallorca due to the unique challenges that it presents in terms of pedestrianised areas, resident only areas, vehicle restrictions, cameras and speed traps. You should also note that unless your accommodation has dedicated parking that will also represent a major problem.
